Vision

The basic Vision of I.D.E.A. Is expressed in Article 2 of the foundation articles:

” Sub 1. The foundation’s purpose is mediating in and organising exchange programmes for students who follow higher vocational training, between The Netherlands and India, and further everything which is directly or indirectly related to it or which can be beneficial for it, everything in the broadest sense of the word.

Sub 2. The foundation tries to achieve its goal among other things by using all legal means.”

We have been active in that sector since 1994 and have extended our activities also to the MBO sector what in India is called “Skill Development” and or fully involved in developments as wel for Higher Education as for Skill Development. More practical info about that can be found under the different “Projects”.

Actual realisation policy for the coming 4 years

We will focus on the Exchange of Knowledge between institutes for Skill Development (MBO and HBO) from The Netherlands to India mainly through internship program at the Care Farm Umang.
We can rely on several disciplines from the Care sector;

  • Social Care, Health Care and Nursing from Colleges in The Netherlands.
  • For the Agricultural sector with Internships from University of Applied Science in Agriculture, retired professors in Agriculture in India, if needed a laboratory for research at ICAR (Indian Centre for Agricultural Research) and internship for students from Ramanata Crishna Pai Raiker Agricultural School in Goa.
  • Borawake Foundation for Agri-preneurship (in Pune) will help us with finding the right people for supervision.
  • A crucial rule in this whole set up is for the Dutch NGO: Stichting Welzijn Kinderen van Bal Anand & Umang.

The ultimate objective of this cooperative set up is to get a basic frame for a curriculum for Care Farm activities which can be used all over India.

Other subjects mentioned in de report about 2016 will also get attention in 2017. However, keeping in mind the difference in time for the academic year, the main attention now goes for Umang. The Academic year in India will be finished at the end of April and starts the first of July. If you have to cooperate with the Education sector in India from Dutch Education institutes there is a loss of 4 months that you are not able to communicate.

Rewarding of activities

The members of the board receive no remuneration for their activities.

They are, however, entitled to the reimbursement of the expenses made by them in the exercise of their function.
